A Letter to GOD…
Everyone seeks an answer from you
Be it young, old, poor and destitute
Rich, ordinary, sickly or desperate.
Many have been thrashed and beaten
In the game of life
All they want is some kind of solace
And a bit of relief
My situation is not so different
Having faced the cruelty of life
I am here at your feet
With tears and hope in my eyes.
But confusion subdues me when I come to you
For I can’t decide what should I ask you.
Shall I ask you for giving me a good life
Or shall I pray to fulfill my limitless desires
All these asking seems petty
As you already know what I need.
It is the love which has been missing from my life for long
It is the need to be loved which breaks me inside
Draining my strength, making me empty
A rudderless boat in the disturbed ocean
There are many answers which I want
But with time, I have realized
Not every desire can be fulfilled by mere answers
Some require experience to fill the great void
Be my rudder and show me the direction
In this vast ocean of life
So that I can land on the white shores,
And be able to sit on the warm earth
To finally break bread with You…
