My first post – the second time.
It was almost two years back when I wrote my post. It was a poem or to aptly say, a rant of a creative mind. Since then I have written many posts though not regularly. Now as I attempt to write my first post in my new website, let me greet you properly.
Welcome to my new website!
I hope you like it. I know currently there is only one post but gradually it will fill. Talking about posts, at first I was confused as to what I should write.
Shall I continue the journey which I started with my old blog. Or shall I start something new like writing on a particular niche. Luckily, my goal is clear as I will continue to do the same thing what I was doing previously. A bit of my raw and unrhymed poetry, my thoughts and opinions, narratives of my short and sweet journeys to few but memorable places. I want this website to my small place where I can find and spread a little joy every time someone visits, where I can smile reading my silly words, where I can feel elated reading the views of other fellow bloggers and where I can get a little satisfaction and peace, in an otherwise fast and restless world.
This website is called Elan vital meaning the life force, the essential force required for life. I want this website to my voice. Through this website, I want to induce a little kindness and thoughtfulness towards life, a strong faith and a little patience on ourselves, which will elevate us in our goal of finding peace which is buried within.
We have to show humanity. If not, we cease to be a human being. We should not associate ourselves with qualities which are not ours.
Anger is not humane, but love is.
Shouting at someone is not humane, but smiling and motivating them is.
Showing off is not humane, but creativity is.
Living on compliments is not humane, but confidence in one’s own self is.
Hurting someone, either by words or action is not humane, but caring for them is.
Criticizing others and hurting the sentiments of others is not humane, but respecting others is.
We all know these things, but sadly we don’t see these every day. I know we can’t stop all, but we can stop ourselves from acting like them. We can silence our mind before it invokes us to participate in something that is not in our human nature.
If we want compliments, then we should also be ready for criticisms. They both come in packages, like head and tails, good and bad, right and wrong. We can’t wish for one without another. So it’s better for us to know our own self first before someone points a finger at you. We should know what qualities are within us and what is not. We normally shrink when we hear criticism. We feel good when we hear nice things from people.
When things that are not in us are attributed to us, why should we worry. And when things that are already in us are mentioned, why should we exult. We should stop worrying at once.
Of course, there is a difference in saying and actually practicing. So here I will attempt to provide some meaning to life, for me and hopefully for others as well.
Thank you for visiting my website.
I hope you’ll find something worth reading…
